Welcome to St. Patrick
CCD Grade 4 with Mrs. McGinnis!
Here you will find an overview of what
we talk about during Wednesday night CCD class. I will try to include
a picture or two of the special projects we have done. Also, I can
post certain handouts on this website if they are not copyrighted.
We
use the "Blest Are We 4" series published by Pearson Education,
Inc.©2002. The website for their series is http://www.blestarewe.com.
I am trying to incorporate the church year holy days and seasons into our
curriculum so we may jump around in the book a little.

I am very pleased to share my faith with your children.
I have enjoyed
being a catechist for the Sunday Children's Liturgy of the Word for
5 years. This is my fifth year as a CCD teacher. I am a mother of five
--my children's ages range from 11- 21.
I have a
couple jobs outside of motherhood. By night, you may find me at Harrisburg
Hospital practicing respiratory therapy. Other times, you may find me
at my computer designing websites. Hence, the development of this web site!
I look forward to a wonderful year.
May God be with you,
Mrs. Emilie McGinnis

About the Sacraments:
We visit the Baptismal Font in the Sanctuary
The Pascal candle
and the Sacramental Chrism oils are store in the Ambry---
(the special
glass cabinet on the wall).

Holy Water (Symbol of the Holy Spirit)is kept on the left and poured over
the catechumenate(person
to be baptized) into the basin on the right. The center drain leads right
to the ground so the holy water will not be dumped into the septic. The
baptized person receives a Candle--"Receive the Light of Christ" and puts
on a White Garment--"Putting on Christ"

"Be sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit"
